Position: Senior Executive – Production
Department: Protein Powder Manufacturing

Reporting To: Production Manager
Job Summary
The Senior Executive – Production will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day protein powder manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and process efficiency are achieved. The role involves managing manpower, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the production department.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
- Manage and supervise daily protein powder production activities.
- Ensure production plans are executed as per schedule and target output.
- Monitor blending, mixing, filling, packing, and material handling processes.
- Minimize downtime and ensure optimum utilization of machines and manpower.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, and company quality standards.
- Monitor in-process quality checks and ensure batch records are maintained accurately.
- Investigate production deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain proper documentation as per regulatory requirements.
Team Management
- Supervise operators, technicians, and production associates.
- Conduct shift handovers and daily production meetings.
- Train employees on SOPs, safety practices, and production processes.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and workforce productivity.
Inventory & Material Management
- Coordinate with stores and planning teams for raw material availability.
- Monitor consumption of ingredients and packaging materials.
- Control wastage and ensure proper material reconciliation.
Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure compliance with all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards.
- Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions.
- Drive productivity improvement, cost reduction, and process optimization initiatives.
- Participate in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S activities.
Qualifications
- Education: B.Sc./M.Sc. Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, B.Tech Food Technology, or related field.
- Experience: 5–8 years of experience in protein powder, nutraceutical, dairy powder, food processing, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of protein powder manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, and quality systems.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Production planning and inventory management.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office.
