Who we are and Why we exist
At The Whole Truth, our mission is to ‘re-build the world’s trust in its food’. Consumers have lost faith in big food companies that hide behind misleading claims. We exist to change that—with honesty, simplicity, and unmissable storytelling.

We are India’s first (and maybe only) 100% Clean Label food brand. That means we proudly declare every single ingredient on the front of the pack. But that’s not all…We don’t just make products. We build brand love. Loudly, proudly, and consistently—through content, community, and creative campaigns that break clutter. And now, we’re ready to scale that brand love even further—through smart, memorable, and well-placed media. That’s where you come in.

So, Who are we looking for.?
We sell across Zepto, Blinkit, Instamart, Amazon, our own D2C, modern trade, and general trade. Each channel has its own reconciliation logic, its own claims behaviour, its own version of what revenue means.

And somewhere between what the business thinks it earned and what actually hits the bank things get complicated.
This role exists to make sure they don't stay that way.

The Revenue Controller is the person who owns the integrity of every rupee we recognise — from gross revenue down to net, from invoice raised to cash collected, from claim raised to claim closed. Which means you are the connective tissue between the books and the business. One side needs accuracy, compliance, and clean numbers. The other needs those same numbers to make channel decisions, plan growth, and manage P&L. You make sure both sides are working from the same truth.

This is not a back-office AR role. It is a commercially aware, analytically sharp, cross-functional finance role with AR as its heaviest anchor.

What you’ll be owning:

Revenue Integrity — end to end You own monthly revenue closing with strict timelines and full compliance with Ind AS 115. Gross-to-net revenue accuracy across every channel — Quick Commerce, Marketplaces, D2C, Modern Trade, General Trade — is your responsibility. If the revenue number is wrong, it's your problem to find and fix.

AR & Reconciliations — the 60% You will lead reconciliations with every major platform and customer — Zepto, Blinkit, Instamart, Amazon, MT and GT partners. You own the full claims lifecycle: promotional claims, damages, returns — raised, tracked, disputed, closed. You will build a single source of truth for receivables and ageing that both finance and business can rely on without second-guessing. Revenue leakages get identified here and plugged here.

The Bridge — finance to business You will partner with Business Finance to ensure the revenue numbers feeding into channel P&Ls, growth plans, and commercial decisions are accurate and timely. When business finance is building a forecast or reviewing channel economics, they should never have to wonder whether the AR numbers are clean. That confidence is yours to build and maintain.

You will also support the Finance Controller on audit readiness, provisioning, bad debt policies, and credit policy design for offline and distributor channels — making sure the controllership side is always covered.

Cash Flow & Risk DSO improvement across channels is a core metric you own. You will define and manage provisioning policies, set credit terms for the offline and distributor business, and flag risk before it becomes a write-off.

Systems & Automation Manual reconciliations and spreadsheet-dependent AR processes are a liability at our scale. You will implement scalable AR workflows within our ERP, drive automation of reconciliations and data flows from platforms, and systematically reduce manual dependencies — not because it's efficient, but because manual = error = wrong numbers.

Team You'll manage and grow a team of 6–8 people. You'll build channel-level expertise within the team and create a culture where accuracy isn't a KPI — it's just how things are done.

What we're looking for
6+ years in Controllership, revenue assurance, or Accounts Receivables — with meaningful exposure to omnichannel or platform-led consumer businesses.

Beyond the years:
● You've worked in a business that sells across quick commerce, marketplaces, and offline — and you understand how differently each channel behaves on reconciliation and claims
● You're close enough to the books to own a month-end close and close enough to the business to explain a revenue variance to a non-finance stakeholder without losing them
● You have strong views on what a clean AR process looks like — and the experience to build one from incomplete infrastructure
● You're analytically sharp. You can pull your own data, build your own models, and spot a leakage before someone else flags it
● You've managed teams and know the difference between delegating and abdicating

You're probably not right for this if
You've only ever sat on one side of the finance function — pure controllership or pure business finance, but not both.
You're comfortable with ambiguity in the numbers as long as the deck looks clean. You need a fully built system before you can operate effectively.

How we'll know you're doing this well
Month-end close happens on time, every time. Revenue leakages go down quarter on quarter. DSO improves across channels. Claims get resolved faster. Business Finance and the Finance Controller are working from the same numbers — and neither has to ask you twice.
