About the Role
As an SME – Product QA, you will own deep technical understanding of products, ingredients, and processes to ensure consistent quality and regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on role with strong ownership of product quality.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Quality Governance
- Define product specs, quality standards, and benchmarks
- Ensure consistency across batches and suppliers
- Drive continuous quality improvements
2. Technical Expertise & Validation
- Guide on ingredient functionality and process impact
- Evaluate changes (ingredients, suppliers, packaging)
- Support troubleshooting and approve change controls
- Participate in trials and validations
3. Sensory & Product Evaluation
- Define sensory standards and support panels
- Track complaints and feed insights into improvements
4. Consumer Complaints
- Investigate product complaints (taste, texture, appearance)
- Identify trends and root causes via batch analysis
- Prepare reports and share findings
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with NPD, Manufacturing, and Quality teams
- Guide critical process parameters (temperature, moisture, etc.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
B.Sc. / B.Tech / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Food Tech, Food Science, Dairy Tech, or related field
Experience:
- 2–3 years in food / nutraceutical / FMCG
- 1–2 years in product-specific roles
Skills & Competencies
Technical:
- Knowledge of FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, CODEX
- Familiarity with BIS, export compliance
- Understanding of lab testing, ERP/LIMS systems
- Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills
Behavioral:
